Arthur Catt has recently joined us to lead the Trumpet Section. He started playing at the age of 6, and has never stopped. He turned professional at 17, and has had a glittering musical career with the top London Bands (including his own) and in the London Theatres, Cunard and QE 2 cruise liners. A meticulous player who adds considerable weight to the Section. We are delighted to have him with us. Steven Paul was drafted into the Band when he was about 13! He has since graduated his way up the ranks and is now the Musical Director. A talented and insatiable player with an excellent grasp of the music scene which prevailed long before he was born. He is much respected by all members of the Band. Yvonne Riggs joined the Band after many years of 'depping’. She is a superb player on trumpet or flugel horn, and often plays her own solos with quiet confidence and flair, (while not being thrown off her horse! or dowsed with water from Glastonbury leaky stage roofs!) Toby Wolpe is a relative new-comer to the Band, after having played with numerous other groups. He also provides the excellent groundwork for the rest of the section. He is a very stable and sincere musician who contributes much to the Bands ethos.
